Community Services Council staff is proud to personally give to United Way through payroll deductions and raise additional funds through their annual silent auction of gently used treasures from their home. On Halloween Day, dressed for the occasion, staff enjoyed a pot luck lunch and the closure of the silent auction.  Senior TranServe Volunteer Opportunity

Senior TranServe is looking for a volunteer Area Coordinator for the South region (West Melbourne, Palm Bay, Micco, Barefoot bay, and vicinities)

 The volunteer driven, door to door transportation service provides rides for aging ambulatory seniors 60 years and older who have no viable means of transport, to medical facilities, grocery stores and other needed destinations.

 The volunteer Area Coordinator coordinates and schedules rides by retrieving phone calls from a message machine and matching client’s requests with volunteer drivers. The coordinator records trip information and sends weekly reports to the Program Coordinator.

 An ideal volunteer for this position entails someone who has good verbal and written communication skills, effective planning and scheduling techniques, understands the details and guidelines of the program, and has general knowledge of Brevard County. Computer skills preferred.

 This position averages 20-25 hours a month.
